About the album

Music for Space Stations is the debut album by ROZMAN & THE SPACE HITCHHIKERS. It is cinematic film music made from an electronic-acoustic, organic sound: the cello at the centre, surrounded by rhythm, atmosphere and the human noise of a small group making something together. These pieces are looking for images, scenes and a screen large enough to hold them. They will find their way to the big screen.

The creation process

The album grew piece by piece, following the sound rather than a fixed map. A cello line would open a door; arrangement, electronics and production would decide what was on the other side. The musicians brought their own histories into the room, and the tracks were shaped between acoustic playing and studio construction — played, recorded, rearranged and listened to until the music found its orbit.

Music for Space Stations debitantski je album grupe ROZMAN & THE SPACE HITCHHIKERS. To je filmska glazba nastala iz elektroničko-akustičnog, organskog zvuka: violončelo je u središtu, okruženo ritmom, atmosferom i ljudskom bukom male grupe koja zajedno pokušava napraviti nešto svoje. Ove skladbe traže slike, prizore i dovoljno veliko platno. Pronaći će put do velikog ekrana.

Proces nastanka

Album je rastao skladbu po skladbu, prateći zvuk umjesto unaprijed zadanog plana. Linija violončela otvorila bi vrata, a aranžman, elektronika i produkcija odlučili bi što se nalazi s druge strane. Glazbenici su u prostor unijeli vlastite povijesti, a pjesme su se oblikovale između akustične svirke i studijske gradnje — svirane, snimane, preslagivane i slušane dok nisu pronašle svoju orbitu.

À propos de l'album

Music for Space Stations est le premier album de ROZMAN & THE SPACE HITCHHIKERS. C'est une musique de film cinématographique, construite sur un son électronique-acoustique et organique : le violoncelle au centre, entouré de rythme, d'atmosphère et du bruit humain d'un petit groupe qui fabrique quelque chose ensemble. Ces morceaux cherchent des images, des scènes et un écran assez grand pour les accueillir. Ils trouveront leur chemin vers le grand écran.

Le processus de création

L'album s'est développé morceau après morceau, en suivant le son plutôt qu'une carte préétablie. Une ligne de violoncelle ouvrait une porte ; l'arrangement, l'électronique et la production décidaient de ce qui se trouvait derrière. Les musiciens ont apporté leurs histoires dans la pièce, et les morceaux se sont formés entre le jeu acoustique et la construction en studio — joués, enregistrés, réarrangés et écoutés jusqu'à trouver leur orbite.
